Chemical etching may be applied to almost all flat glass elements (without glued frames etc.). Below are described most widespread variants of products that are traditional objects of chemical etching. Some cases (sauna doors, any glasses without fittings) are quite usual for distribution of ready end products, others need cooperation with corresponding manufacturers, that too is quite a usual practice.
Sauna doors

Sauna doors are a form of glass doors and usually are located in surroundings that exclude cheap palliatives as filming, so it is classic object of chemical etching applications. |
Glass doors
Doors are very important visual elements of interior design and usually serve the whole lifetime of apartments. So there’s no sense to use cheap palliatives, unpractical or with limited age. Especially if it uses complicated (i.e. expensive) design. Especially if most of the surface is etched.
If glass door is not independent element but part of glass wall it must be considered a wall. |

Etched glass walls

Etched glass walls have traditional properties of walls – they separate different parts of home, not only mechanically and partly acoustically, but also visually (as required).
Fashion played a low-down trick when too many people choose transparent internal and external walls for homes, offices and buildings. Often it was done without evaluation of natural needs of human beings and negative effects of excessive transparency caused curtains to be constantly closed instead of getting a maximum amount of light. Etched walls really separate space, yielding usual comfort but keeping one whole light space, which is great… Realistic design must consider all aspects of practical life and work in designed rooms (going further we have to mention that real humans need not only light but also darkness – not all walls must be made of glass…). Walls and doors designed with patterns give you unique possibility to apply desired style and it becomes a part of internal architecture, it is just necessary to make good decisions. |
Tables and table plates
Tables and table plates with chemically etched upper surface have an unbeatable practical quality – etched surface makes it look clear, without dramatic cleaning efforts typical for any other glass surfaces. |
Mirrors

Mirror does not last for very long in conditions of high humidity. Both amalgam and painted coating limit its lifetime, so its durability level is lower than classic chemically etched glass, but anyhow the overall durability level of chemically etched decorated mirror is higher than it is in case of palliative decorated mirrors. Besides it is good to mention very pleasant tactile properties, beautiful visual sparkling and unbeatable usefulness of chemically etched surface that is as important for relatively small mirrors as for big mirrored sliding doors. |
Wardrobe sliding doors
In fact sliding doors of built-in wardrobes or walk-in closets usually take place of walls, so the trend to decorate them has the same nature as a practice to decorate walls.
Such doors are significant element of an interior and are intended to serve quite long – so have to be designed properly, and implemented by proper means. This case has no rational alternative to chemical etching in common use. |

Shower walls

Due to the same reason of endurance of chemically etched glass in conditions of high humidity there is no any rational substitute for it. |
