Artistic chemical etching is a target activity of the company. Creating of design model is always one of the steps of the whole process.
Thanks to the modern Internet a choice of images is practically infinite, even if we use the 2-color limitation. But a wide variety of choices produces new problems – sometimes it is difficult to make a selection, and causes the necessity to narrow down the options by elimination using different criteria, including random elimination..
Final form of an image must be a vector file “CorelDrow!” with extension “.cdr”. The length and cost of getting to it depends on initial image file.
If you take into account the color limitation and a rational level of details, the task is solvable with any source material. That means that source material may be any image, be it digital or on the paper, it may be wallpapers, decorated tile, carved wood etc.
Image stocks
Image stocks are quite good choice to search for suitable image for decorating. Usually there are some images that satisfy demands. There are options to choose readiness level (for vectorization and cutting), often is possible to find ready (cut-ready) or almost ready vector image. There are options to search in a selected style or images similar to given and so on.
Below is couple of variants of stocks that we use on a regular basis and where we have bonus possibilities to buy images for you.

Physical image carriers
Despite the filtering options on the stocks, there is still a lot of images, so the search can be tiresome.
But frequently choice of decorating decisions is already done; it is for example wallpapers and decorated tiles. And maybe there is no sense to look for a new pattern… It is possible to get your ornaments from these sources.

Vectorization
Vectorization is creating vector drawing of raster prototype. It has to be done in all cases, excluding using another vector form of image as a source.
Editing
Vector forms (.ai, .svg, .dwg, vector variant of .pdf and some others) have at least to be converted and often need some editing and correction. Not always even images from stocks marked as “cut-ready” are really ready to apply for etching. There are a lot of parameters (minimal dimensions, producibility etc.) that have to be taken in account to make correct drawing for correct etched result. And certainly we have to edit a drawing that is intended to be just a base for modification.

Our stock of images grows during implementation of different designs and decorating tasks and time to time we transfer these designs to collections, which will be represented in the web for using as materials for new decisions. Our blogs are targeted to serve the same purpose.
